A “Distinction in Chemistry” can be acquired by B.S. chemistry majors in both the Traditional or Biochemistry Tracks:
At the end of the B.S. program and upon the recommendation of the Department of Chemistry, the notation “Distinction in Chemistry” may be acquired by the student. To be eligible the following criteria are applied:
- Student has met all B.S. course requirements for the Traditional or Biochemistry track
- The cumulative GPA is greater than or equal to 3.6
- A grade of “A” was obtained in 50:160:492 “Competence in Chemistry”
No application or registration by the student is required.
